The additional safety feature implemented in OVI URCap continuously monitors the tool presence. A pneumatic solenoid valve and a built-in relay automatically cut off the pneumatic supply and tool power when no tool is mounted.

The station manager handles the specific IOs – 4 pallet sensors, pneumatic solenoid valve, TP sensor, pneumatic sensor and end effectors for each station. It monitors the stations where the robot was installed and manages the installation files for each station.
OVI has integrated the necessary sensors to serve any application. Four IFM diffuse reflection sensors with background suppression detects if the pallets are correctly align during the palletizing process.
A FESTO pneumatic sensor monitors the presence of compressed air, thus avoiding accidental damage. Besides that, the built-in pneumatic solenoid valve can be used for any application that requires pneumatic control. The Teach Pendant sensor increases the level of OPERATIONAL SAFETY by identifying if the TP is in place.
