The OVISO Robotics solution is a hardware port that provides all the necessary utilities for running the OVI product with a single plug, in less than 5 seconds and with ZERO human error: 6 bar pneumatic supply, Internet, 36 GPIOs, two power supplies – 230 V-AC for the Universal Robot and 24 V-DC @5A for additional tool consumption.
With a poka-yoke design approach, the connector cannot be swappable, resulting in 5 seconds switch ON versus much more time for most of the other robots.
FAST TOOL CHANGE SYSTEM

When OVI is moved from one station to the other, the SCHUNK electro-mechanical system grants easy replacement of the tools.
Moreover, the URCap developed by OVISO Robotics recognizes the mounted end effector and automatically sets the new parameters in the Universal Robots environment (TCP, COG, weight) so that the tool is ready to work in less than 5 seconds with ZERO human error.
The additional safety feature implemented in OVI URCap continuously monitors the tool presence. A pneumatic solenoid valve and a built-in relay automatically cut off the pneumatic supply and tool power when no tool is mounted.

OVI’s versatility and multipurpose capabilities are possible due to our own patented technology and revolutionary software. OVI has the only available approach that automatically shifts the waypoints in the program and gather the installation data from the station.
The station manager handles the specific IOs – 4 pallet sensors, pneumatic solenoid valve, TP sensor, pneumatic sensor and end effectors for each station. It monitors the stations where the robot was installed and manages the installation files for each station.
BUILT-IN SENSORS
OPERATIONAL SAFETY AND PROTECTION FOR INADEQUATE USAGE
OVI has integrated the necessary sensors to serve any application. Four IFM diffuse reflection sensors with background suppression detects if the pallets are correctly align during the palletizing process.
A FESTO pneumatic sensor monitors the presence of compressed air, thus avoiding accidental damage. Besides that, the built-in pneumatic solenoid valve can be used for any application that requires pneumatic control. The Teach Pendant sensor increases the level of OPERATIONAL SAFETY by identifying if the TP is in place.
